A European Voice for the Future of Space

We aim to make Europe the defining power in space.

We will ensure that space is democratic and free for all of humanity.

Europe must play a leading role in the exploration and use of outer space – for the benefit of humanity and in the interest of its citizens.

We connect people, ideas and institutions to help shape a transparent, democratic and public-oriented European space policy.

Why space matters

Modern life is already unthinkable without space infrastructure.

Satellites provide navigation, communication, climate data, and early warning systems for natural disasters. They drive innovation, support research and even deliver evidence for the investigation of war crimes.

  • We only stand a chance to stop climate change if we have adequate information about it. Satellites such as the EU’s own Copernicus system deliver high-quality earth observation for fact-based climate policy and environmental protection.

  • Whether you’re planning your weekend trip or deploying international supply chains - you rely on secure and precise positioning services. Galileo is the world leading system down to centimeter accuracy, made in Europe.

  • No matter if you are in Norway’s polar regions, hundrets of kilometers off the coast of the Azores or in a remote Alpine village, satellites will connect you to the world.

  • Europe’s space infrastructure enables early detection and response to natural disasters – strengthening civil protection and resilience.

Space opens up entirely new perspectives in science, business and society.

Space will come to dominate our lives in one way or the other. Let’s shape our future to achieve the best outcome possible and seize the opportunities we have.

  • From drug development to organ growth, microgravity research enhances our understanding of diseases and drives treatment innovation, paving the way for longer, healthier lives on Earth. Let's make these advancements for the benefit of everyone.

  • In-orbit production enables us to significantly enhance materials and products. This advancement leads to superior electronics and innovative goods, ultimately improving life on Earth.

  • Space-based solar power and other energy innovations could provide clean, renewable energy sources, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and helping combat climate change.

  • Innovations in space manufacturing, such as 3D printing and in-orbit production, can lead to the creation of new materials and products with unique properties.

  • Recent geopolitical shifts show that security isn't guaranteed. Space capabilities are essential for adequate protection, enabling us to mitigate threats and enhance responses in critical situations.

Europe's future lies in space.

If we act decisively today, we can ensure wealth for today’s and tomorrow’s generations. But we must ensure that space remains free and open for all, not dominated by oligarchic “tech bros” or authoritarian law-makers and rulers.

The potential of space to improve our lives here on Earth is immense, but so is the risk of misuse. This is why Europe has to champion its principles of freedom, democracy, rule of law, equality, and solidarity. Let us unite in this European Space Vision.

What we want to achieve

We believe that space must serve people – not just power.
Our goal is to ensure that Europe becomes a sovereign, democratic leader in space, in all areas – enabling equitable access to space-based services, securing critical infrastructure, and driving innovation for the common good.

We advocate having a resilient, open, and sustainable European space ecosystem that is based on sustainability, empowers science, fosters entrepreneurship, and defends fundamental rights – on Earth and beyond.

Let’s build this.

Europe has what it takes to lead – a tradition of cooperation, a commitment to human dignity, an open economy, and a thriving scientific and industrial base.
We want to bring together those who care about a democratic, peaceful and sustainable use of space –
for the benefit of all.
